Week 8 - Tiago Delgado


This week we focused on creating the playable prototype to be delivered next Tuesday. Having finished a skeleton version of the combat UI, I got together with the team to start integrating everyone's work and plan the next steps. Daniel has taken the role of our back-end specialist and leader throughout this phase, since he is working on the logical structure of the game and organizing everyone to keep things integrated. Bernardo is working on developing the ability logic and David is developing the interface for all the out-of-combat menu and selection screens.

I've been integrating the UI buttons with the game managing structures, making the UI dynamically adapt to the players and characters (and their abilities). Right now I'm testing a few different layouts for the ability buttons (which I'll ask the rest of the team for feedback on) and finishing adding all the missing elements to the UI (such as buff icons).
