Week 9 - David Pereira - Prototype Feedback

Prototype Feedback

This week the team focused on finishing the Unity Prototype and proceeded to gather feedback from the Focus Group and from other MDJ groups, to write a Feedback Report. The different UI Scenes, created by Tiago and me, were connected with the gameplay-focused ones, created by Daniel and Bernardo. Afterward, we created a little backlog of tasks that must be completed to polish the Prototype before the playtests.

Feedback Summary

Regarding the feedback, we realized that the most important aspect to polish was how the game transmits information to the players. Audio and visual cues need to be created, to aid the players in understanding exactly what is happening during the encounter. Overall, the controls were easy to pick up (with the exception of the “End Turn” button, which needs to be highlighted) The players had little to no difficulty creating a room and joining their teammates, and navigating the Character Selection UI.

Next steps

Our priorities turn to polishing the game and correcting some bugs, to have a good final version to present in MoJo.
